I can't believe that 1 year ago exactly, a day or so after talking to Laura Bambrey now of Laura Bambrey Books told me to start a blog, that Rachel's Random Reads was created. I thought I would give blogging a go for a few months and then probably give up if I had too much negativity, or wasn't enjoying it.
Thankfully that didn't happen and I seem to be going from strength to strength, not just with the blog but personally too. If it wasn't for Rachel's Random Reads I wouldn't currently be looking at a career change, hopefully into publishing, and I've met so many amazing people thanks to some book launches and author/blogger meet ups, as well as the whole blogging community as well, which is so supportive.
So thank you everyone for making my first year as a book blogger extra special. And to thank all of you that has actually been reading my reviews, the guest posts and feature weeks I have produced, I have 5 days of giveaways for you.
They are a mix of UK only, Europe Only and International so please enter the ones you are eligible for, and I hope there is something that attracts your interest. Feel free to enter as many as you want, I'm more than happy for people to win multiples over my blogiversary.
Enjoy!!!
Giveaway 1 - Win a book from my lucky dip bag (Europe Only) - 8 Winners
I have put 8 books into a pretty tote bag and will draw 8 winners. My parcel packing assistant (mum) will be handed your addresses, and will at that point draw a book from the bag, for you to win. There is a complete mix of genres in there and prizes will be awarded randomly. Good Luck!
Giveaway 2 - Win a £10 / $10 Amazon Voucher
Alison Drew from Ali The Dragon Slayer and my best friend is offering one lucky winner a £10 or $10 Amazon Voucher dependant on country.
Giveaway 3 - Signed copy of Someone New by Zoe Miller (Open Internationally)

But tragedy strikes when Danny dies in a motorbike accident, shattering Grace's world. As she struggles to come to terms with her loss, she becomes more and more convinced that she's being followed - sighting a motorbike exactly like Danny's everywhere she goes. And she starts to wonder if Danny's death was really an accident.
When she finally voices her suspicions to her family and the police, though, no one seems willing to believe her.
Meanwhile Grace feels ever more under threat as sinister things begin happening to her. What was Danny hiding from her? And what kind of danger is she in now?
Giveaway 4 - Win e-copy of Best Seller by Terry Tyler (Open Internationally)
Terry Tyler is kindly donating an e-copy of her new book Best Seller to one lucky winner.

Eden Taylor has made it—big time. A twenty-three year old with model girl looks and a book deal with a major publisher, she's outselling the established names in her field and is fast becoming the darling of the media.
Becky Hunter has money problems. Can she earn enough from her light-hearted romance novels to counteract boyfriend Alex's extravagant spending habits, before their rocky world collapses?
Hard up factory worker Jan Chilver sees writing as an escape from her troubled, lonely life. She is offered a lifeline—but fails to read the small print...
In the competitive world of publishing, success can be merely a matter of who you know—and how ruthless you are prepared to be to get to the top.
Giveaway 5 - Win a signed copy of The Vintage Summer Wedding by Jenny Oliver (Open Internationally)
Jenny Oliver is a great supporter of Rachel's Random Reads so was delighted that she has offered a signed copy of The Vintage Summer Wedding as a prize for my blogiversary.
Amazon UK |
Spending the summer uncovering hidden treasures in a vintage shop, Anna can still vividly remember both her childhood dreams; the first was that she’d become a Prima Ballerina, and dance on stage resplendent in a jewel-encrusted tutu. The second was that at her wedding she would walk down the aisle wearing a collective-gasp-from-the-congregation dress.
Years ago Anna pirouetted out of her cosy hometown village in a whirl of ambition…but when both of those fairy-tale dreams came crashing down around her ballet shoes, she and fiancée Seb find themselves back in Nettleton, their wedding and careers postponed indefinitely…
Don’t they say that you can never go home again? Sometimes they don’t get it right… This one summer is showing Anna that your dreams have to grow up with you. And sometimes what you think you wanted is just the opposite of what makes you happy…
Happy Anniversary and Thank You!!
