Two rival radio personalities. Lori Martin is a positive and upbeat DJ, known for playing love songs and dedications. Ben Baxter dishes out no-nonsense, in-your-face relationship advice. Total opposites. Never in a million years would they want to work together.

Fired for losing her cool after her boyfriend breaks up with her on the air, Lori surprisingly receives a job offer for the coveted morning show at the radio station across town where Ben works. She thinks she’s replacing him, but finds out they want to team up Lori with her archenemy to set the air waves on fire and boost ratings. Financially strapped, she can’t turn down the job.

While their on-air fireworks and explosive chemistry make for great listening, what in the world will happen after work hours?

The new feel-good romantic comedy everyone is talking about!

I couldn't stop smiling, smirking and giggling the whole way through this book.

If you are already a Rich Amooi fan, what are you doing here, this is him at his best, just buy and read it already.

On the other hand if you have never read the author before, well here are some more thoughts....

The chemistry and banter between Ben and Lori is off the charts for two people who are doing their best to hate and antagonise each other.

The dialogue is fabulous and what catapults this book into the ideal way to forget your troubles for a bit and just lose yourself in Lori and Ben's story.

Written from both Male and Female perspectives it is scary how believable both characters come across. It is making me think Rich Amooi may now be my top male rom-com author amidst some stiff competition.

If you want to spend an incredibly amusing few hours with a couple who are bound to make you smile, some utterly ridiculous relationship problems for their call in show, some feisty octogenarians and a whole lot more besides, then this is definitely worth a read.

Thank you to Rich Amooi for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Ruth “Ruthless” Harper is on the verge of becoming managing partner at her all-male consulting firm and she won’t let anything stand in her way. That includes men, relationships, and that dreaded F word, FEELINGS—distractions she eliminated long ago.

After the worst day ever (a near-death experience and a public wedgie, for starters), Ruth realizes she doesn’t want to live and die alone. She puts together a business plan to find the perfect man and dives head first into the murky online dating pool. All she wants is a high-powered executive who understands how important her career is. If only it were that easy.

Problem is most men are intimidated by Ruth’s confidence and shocked by her bluntness. The exception being her landscape designer, Nick, whose cool demeanor and unsolicited dating advice are driving her nuts. He’s the antithesis of the business-oriented man Ruth envisions for herself, so why do all signs keep pointing back to him?

A romantic comedy novel for the ages. Order now. Don't delay. Operators are standing by.

Before even the end of the first chapter I was laughing my head off.

There is just something about Ruth and  some of the embarrassing situations she gets herself into that are just so so amusing.  Then again, really early on, there was a moment of high drama that shows that the author isn't just great with comedy, he can really amp up the adrenaline too.

That being said don't read the opening chapters on a plane if you are a nervous flyer!

I love Nick and Ruth, they are fabulous, complete and utter opposites but any scenes they are both in together are just so amusing and fun to read.  I also loved Ruth's banter with her best friend Dee.

Oh and Ruth's attempts at online dating, I've not seen that set of scenarios play out before, completely hilarious.  And if you like a lot of food based talk keep your eyes out for Bagel Barney.

Oh and Karma is fabulous, so so adorable and a really touching moment involving her too.

There is just so much to enjoy in this book, I really loved it all.   Rich Amooi is fast becoming one of my favourite rom com authors.  The writing flows so well, the characters are great, and I love the dialogue.   If you want to read a really amusing book, then I definitely recommend this one.

Liz Parker doesn’t like surprises, but winning the lottery isn’t something she would complain about. Before she has time to think about how to spend her new fortune, she’s hit with an even bigger shock than unexpected wealth. She has three months to live unless she finds a one-in-a-million bone marrow donor.

While her medical team scrambles to locate her miracle, Liz throws together a bucket list, charters a private jet, and takes off to see the world. The journey of a lifetime holds even more surprises, including the hunky pilot she’s falling for at the most inconvenient time.

Will Liz die before she can realize her happily-ever-after, or will the universe come through for her one more time? Find out in this humorous tale of true love and adventure!

I think is the book that has catapulted Rich Amooi for me from an author whose books I rather like, to a drop everything and start reading the next book the second its out, sort of author, and I possibly should go buy up the back catalogue too - as I loved this book so so much.

I was devouring large amounts of pages in what I thought were relatively short sittings, I didn't think I'd read that long and then I saw how much the percentage jumped and realised I was completely absorbed in the book and just needed to keep reading.  My only regret was not ignoring real life for a few more hours when I started it and not having read it one sitting, as it would have been so pleasurable to do.

From the blurb you may be a bit unsure whether this really is going to be an upbeat romantic comedy and I can assure you it is - yes there is a rare life threatening illness, but it doesn't define Liz at all.  In fact the way she deals with both the massive lottery win, and her illness is nothing short of inspirational.

It was also incredibly refreshing to read a romantic comedy focused around a pair of 50 year old protagonists,  it's clear life has shaped them, but that they are still full of joie de vivre and between Liz, pilot Adam and first officer Orlando - they embark on a whistle stop bucket list trip across three continents.

Liz is a very caring, completely selfless person, and watching her change from someone who loves research and structure, into one able to cope with spontaneity is wonderful to see.

Then there is the trip itself featuring Peru, an African Safari and Bastille Day (and clearly the author added one little piece of dialogue that left me in no doubt that the book had either been written or edits rather recently, relating to a big occurrence in Paris).

There was not a moment of this book that I didn't love.  I just wish I had been on the trip alongside them all as it sounded magical.

It's an uplifting story about beating the odds, proving how precious time really is, living life to the full, and about generosity of spirit.

In short, I loved it, and definitely go and give this one a try, its comes incredibly highly recommended.   I now just have to sit and impatiently wait for Rich Amooi's next book!

Rule #1: No Dating Cowboys.
A fake fiancĂ© doesn’t count, right? Oh boy . . .

Amy Weaver is tired of her dad meddling in her love life. Fed up, she hires an actor to play the part of her fake cowboy fiancĂ© when she goes home for her grandpa’s ninetieth birthday. Sure, Luke Jenkins has got looks, charm, and muscular legs, but this is business, pure and simple. Things are fine and dandy until she finds out he’s a real cowboy, not an actor. Now, she’s stuck between a rock and his chiseled jawline, falling faster than a sack of horseshoes. How the heck is Amy supposed to ignore the sparks between them and stick to her rule of not dating cowboys? All bets are off.

I am now kicking myself for not purchasing and reading books from this author years ago when I first spotted them while scrolling through Amazon, for it turns out I now have another author that I really really like, based on There's Something About a Cowboy.

I've read quite a few of these hire a fake date books in the past perhaps 6 months or so, and thus sort of knew the basics of who Amy would end up with - but what I couldn't have predicted was how enjoyable the journey was.

It is clear from their first meeting that there is considerable chemistry between Amy and Luke, and as the story progresses you forget that money may be exchanging hands at some point as everything felt quite real.

Except Luke is sworn of dating, and is definitely not Amy's fiance, and Amy is currently trying to avoid dating cowboys but she's not convinced Luke is a real cowboy, and she's not really dating him either!

The book really gets going once they get to Julian, and the big family gathering, and we get to meet Amy's family members.  One thing is for certain Luke looks, sounds and feels  all cowboy. And boy do I love a cowboy in fiction!

I was utterly hooked on Luke, and just wanted to get to know him for fully.  Amy's grandparens are lovely but her father is a rather interesting character who is determined to get Amy back with her ex Nathan.

They are a family that loves food, and Amy is an excellent pie maker together with Luke being a barbecue expert,  well lets just say its a book that made me quite hungry.

There is plenty of comedy, all starting with a bucking bronco, and Rich Amooi had a way of drawing me into the story and had me turning the pages and devouring his words incredibly quickly.   It was a sheer pleasure to read this book.

There really is just something about a cowboy, and this book is a great example of just why I love them so much..  What I definitely know is this won't be the last book from Rich Amooi that I will read.
