Newly promoted head teacher Anna Dalton needs a Christmas miracle – and fast! After years of sitting through excruciatingly dull Christmas productions, complete with crying children and sleeping parents, she’s determined Riddlescomb Primary School will put on a Nativity to remember.

Enter bad boy actor Dan Ramsey, recently axed from the lead role in a TV drama and in desperate need of cleaning up his image or he’ll never work again.

Dan can flash those heart-stopping dimples all he likes, Anna tells herself she isn’t going to fall for them. She knows why he’s decided to volunteer at the school, and it’s for the good of his bank balance…not his soul.

But as Anna and Dan are forced to work together for the sake of a truly magical Christmas for the children, sparks fly and they can’t help but wonder what will happen once the festive season is over…

What do you get when you mix Christmas, a hot actor, a headmistress, a need for a new Christmas play, a bunch of adorable children, and some fabulous characters?

,,,Well it could only be A Little Christmas Hope - it is all that and more.

Whenever I had to put the book down due to real life, I wanted to be back within the pages as soon as possible, this is Kathryn Freeman at her very best.

I just loved every last thing about this book - the concept for the play that Dan created was something I would happily go and see in a theatre, let alone a school (and possibly reminded me of the film Nativity now that I think of it), and the way he connected with the various children, and gave them confidence was heartening to see.

Anna is the headteacher and is determined to protect her heart and daughter Maisie's after she was widowed 5 years ago from the love of her life.  But yet there is just something rather obvious to the reader at least between her and Dan from their first meeting, even if they are both trying to deny it.

I loved how Dan was also determined to become a better father, and seeing his relationship with son, Max develop was really heart warming.

Ok I admit it, I just want a real life Dan in my life, he is the best book boyfriend I've had for a while!

It's not the most overtly festive book you may read this year, but it certainly has some very Christmassy moments especially with the trips to London.

This may be the third book in the Christmas Wishes series but its 100% readable as a standalone, the previous main characters are Anna's friends but are more cameos than anything, so this is a completely brand new story but fans of the author will know the familiar faces!

Easily one of my favourite ever Kathryn Freeman books, this is a joyous read that I didn't want to end!

Thank you to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
