You’re never too old to fall in love…

There is a disturbance in the force and octogenarian Hattie Jenkins can feel it in her water. Still active and spritely, she guesses that the miserable-looking gentleman sitting morosely in the café where she works, might be the reason.

Widowed Alfred Miller has recently moved in with his daughter because she is worried that he’s becoming too frail and forgetful to look after himself. And he’s not in the least bit happy about it, especially since his home is soon be cleared and sold.

But when he enlists Hattie’s help to save some of his precious belongings, he doesn’t realise that Hattie’s mission is to save more than a few sticks of furniture. She’s on a mission to save him, too.

A gorgeous Christmas romance to put a smile on your face and a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart. So make yourself a cup of hot chocolate, grab a mince pie, and snuggle down with this fabulous festive romantic comedy.

Such a charming and lovely story.  It's gentle, it gets under your skin, its a pleasure to read, and I couldn't read it fast enough.

I was so interested in what was going on for Hattie and Alfie our loveable octogenarians, who are an inspiration to us all. If I am half as fabulous at Hattie when I'm that age, I would consider it to be a very good thing indeed.

This is a Christmas romance, I'd say without a doubt it would classed as a sweet romance, and its a slow burner from that point of the story, as feelings creep up unexpectedly.

But its more than just a Christmas romance, it is about Alfred getting to grips with life again, after the loss of his wife a few years before hand.  It is the discovery that no one knew just what wonders he was getting up to in his shed, until he is forced to move out of his own home - at which point things take of in an unexpected direction.

Ok slightly expected as well the title of the book had to fit in somewhere, but I'm not really going to say much more at is such a cosy story that you will just want to turn the pages to discover it yourself.

I could really picture the shop, and it sounded just wonderful, and old fashioned, which was its aim, and the community in Ticklmemore really come together to make the shop a reality.

This is just an all around heart warming and fabulous book to read at this time of year.  Perfect to curl up in front of the fire, with a hot drink, and lose yourself within the words of this highly enjoyable story.

Thank you to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
