Capital Crime Preview - Bingeable Series - #CapitalCrime24 #Giveaway

Today I am bringing you my third and final preview of something I am excited about, at the upcoming Capital Crime Festival.  Like the previous two days there is a giveaway today too!

This is a crime festival taking place in London, 30th May - 1st June, and the more I hear about it, the more excited I am getting to be able to attend this year.

So the final event I wish to highlight for you all is a panel called Bingeable Series.

Bingeable Series: The beauty of falling in love with a series with Stig Abell, Will Dean, Erin Young and participating moderator Tariq Ashkanani,

I don't know about you, but I am rather partial to a series or two or three - let's face it just how many Angela Marsons, DI Kim Stone books, or M.A. Comley's various series have I reviewed every book of on this blog over the years.

So it is going to be a fascinating discussion I'm sure from these authors about series, and just what makes them so bingeable!

As with previous days, I'm going to highlight these authors first book's in their latest series for you, since those seem relevant to an event about series, and then there is a giveaway to win a ticket to this session.

The stunningly written, evocative new debut crime thriller you won’t want to miss!

A detective ready for a new life

Jake Jackson, high-flying ex-city detective, inherits a rural retreat from his reclusive uncle. It’s the perfect chance to start anew.

A death that disrupts everything

But then the local annual treasure hunt spirals into terror when a young woman’s bones are discovered. Suddenly, Jake is back to being a detective, as he tries to unearth a dangerous killer in this most unlikely of settings.

Dark Pines by Will Dean

SEE NO EVIL

Eyes missing, two bodies lie deep in the forest near a remote Swedish town.

HEAR NO EVIL

Tuva Moodyson, a deaf reporter on a small-time local paper, is looking for the story that could make her career.

SPEAK NO EVIL

A web of secrets. And an unsolved murder from twenty years ago.

Can Tuva outwit the killer before she becomes the final victim? She'd like to think so. But first she must face her demons and venture far into the deep, dark woods if she wants to stand any chance of getting the hell out of small-time Gavrik.

IT STARTS WITH A BODY-a young woman found dead in an Iowa cornfield, on one of the few family farms still managing to compete with the giants of Big Agriculture.

For Sergeant Riley Fisher, newly promoted to head of investigations at the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office, an already horrific crime takes on a personal edge when she discovers the victim is an old friend, from a dark past she thought she'd left behind.

Rumour travels fast in small towns, while sweltering heat and state-wide elections only add to the pressure-cooker atmosphere. When another body is found, Riley is in danger of being engulfed by the fear and the frenzy. Something deeply disturbing is out there - and it reaches far beyond Black Hawk County.

Beautifully written and masterfully crafted, The Fields is a stunning crime debut.
