About Me

I can't believe its been six years since I started Rachel's Random Reads.

If you are wondering who I am, my name is Rachel, and this is my book blog. I absolutely love reading, and practically feel naked without a book on the go.

I'm incredibly grateful the longer I run this blog that I am a Londoner, as I love being invited to book events, and I also have a West End musical theatre habit!

My other main interest is travel, both real and fictional, and try to get away as often as I can afford.   I have also set up my own business Rachels Random Resources which is offering a variety of promotional services for authors.

Fast forward to 2021, and I've been named as the Winner of the RNA Media Star of the Year award.

  1. Our firm, Bostick Communications, distributes press releases via e-mail for our clients who are authors.  These releases make reviewers, such as yourself, aware of new books that are available for review.

We would like to add you to that database to receive releases from our clients.

You will receive two press releases per week on the average. You select the books you wish to review. You have the opportunity to specify certain genres that you are interested in to reduce the number of releases you receive, if you wish.

There is no obligation/fees and you may unsubscribe at any time.

If interested please reply back to us and note the genres you review and the site(s) where you post your reviews.

Thank you for your time to consider our service.

  2. Hi Rachel - Your contact form has been "sending" for a long time, so it's not working for me for some reason. Hope you read this query:

TurboJetslams: Proof #29 of the Non-Existence of God

    Jass Richards

    self-published

    fiction, humor

You ever have a neighbour whose behaviour is so mind-bogglingly inconsiderate and so suicide-inducingly annoying that you just want to ask him, in a polite Canadian way, to please stop?
    TurboJetslams isn’t like that.
Jass Richards’ new novel, TurboJetslams: Proof #29 of the Non-Existence of God, tells the tale of one person’s pathetic and hilarious attempts to single-handedly stop the destruction of a little piece of beautiful Canadian wilderness by the increasing numbers of idiots who couldn’t care less.
A quick and entertaining summer read. A perfect cottage-warming gift. Boomer lit. Sure to resonate with paddlers everywhere.

    132p

    July-August timeframe preferred

    THANK YOU!

  3. Hi Rachel. I', trying to reach your market with my newest book, "The Dragons of Alsace Farm," and I'd appreciate the opportunity to post a spotlight, an interview, a character interview, or what ever you can fit in. My book is a clean read women's fiction with what may be one of the most unique and lovable characters in the current market--Agnes, an 82-y-o French WWII survivor with dementia. Would love to discuss. Thanks for all you do to help readers and authors connect.

  4. Hello Rachel,
I am hoping to interest you in reviewing my ghost story "Dead over Heels" (a short 38 pages) published by Frith Books in November of 2016. It is part romance, part  paranormal, part crime (and tad part horror).

The story follows Veronica who lands a date with Sebastian. On their first meeting, they encounter the ghosts of their past that threaten to tear them apart. The couple decides to face the evil that stands between them--but will they make it out alive?

Here is the Amazon link in case you would like to check it out:

I thank you so much for your time and consideration. If you are interested, I can send you a Mobi or ePub file.

    Kindest regards,
    Theresa
