Sometimes love can be found in the most unlikely places…

Her whole life, Brittany Forrest dreamt of adventure. She thought she’d found it in rebellious Zachary Flynn, but after just ten days, their whirlwind marriage went up in smoke, and Zach walked out.

Now Zach’s come home but seeing Brittany again stirs up long-buried emotions. He knows he let Brittany down, yet he can’t stay away—even when he knows the chemistry between them will only complicate his life!

As long, hot days on the beach dissolve into summer nights, Brittany and Zach find that the sparks between them are more powerful than ever. Could it be that the second time around, their dreams of a happy-ever-after will finally come true?

I was gripped by Zach's story right from the first chapter, where we see a very small insight into his childhood, and what he has been through, and how it has turned him into the man he is today. I think during that first chapter I fell just a little bit in love with Zach, despite remembering a small bit about him from the first book in this trilogy.

Some Kind of Wonderful is about the complicated relationship between Zach and Brittany. They had a very short lived marriage when they were still in their teens, Zach left Brittany broken-hearted 10 days into the marriage, and then they have managed to stay out of each others way in the inbetween years. But now they are both back on Puffin Island, and so they are bound to encounter each other.

And wow when they meet, they clearly still have feelings for each other, even if they are trying their hardest to deny the connection.

There is some fantastic action in this book, not just sexual action, but thrilling dangerous action, showing once again what a fantastic man Zach has turned out to be.

It was wonderful to catch up with the latest in Emily and Skylar's stories,  and their friendship with Brittany. Some Kind of Wonderful could easily be read a stand alone novel, but why deny yourself the pleasure of reading First Time in Forever, and your proper introduction to Puffin Island.

Puffin Island once again shows what a wonderful place it is to live, and all the islanders really do protect their own, and their favourite way to show they care is to leave a casserole on the doorstep of anyone they think could do with the comfort of a casserole. Brittany and Zach's reactions to various casseroles are hilarious.

Some Kind of Wonderful is a fantastic summery story, with a lovely romance at the centre of it. The main theme seems to be trust and friendship, and these are dealt with superbly. I would happily recommend this book to anyone wanting something to read on their holidays this summer.

Thank you to Mills & Boon and Netgalley for this review copy. This was my honest opinion.
