A.J. Scaramucci’s life has always been shaken, not stirred.

Pretty typical for a spunky gal from Staten Island who runs her family’s delicatessen and is not shy about saying what she thinks. When a new business across the street brings two men into her life, she’s presented with a choice.

But when a major red flag is revealed, the decision seems totally out of her hands.

And for a woman who always takes what she wants, it’s a new experience.

Turns out her equally spunky cat Gypsy has more input than she does.

The pet she calls “my sunshine” will have to work a little feline magic for a happy ending.

The second I spotted there was a new "cat" book from Nic Tatano, I was jumping from tall things, in pure ecstasy, ok that may actually be Gypsy, AJ's cat, as she launches another stealth attack, in happiness that AJ is home, but surely its the same principal. I was pawsitively excited.

I have loved the previous two books featuring Maddison with Bumper, and Tish with Socks, and was eager to see what the Italian firecracker of AJ had in store for us.

Well its a heartwarming story with a sweet romance, with two potential male suitors, plenty of fabulous moments involving Gypsy and I just loved AJ's personality.  She starts the book fed up with a certain type of man and enlists her friends to give her a makeover, and its not long until she starts to see the results.

There are two key men in this book, an architect who is transforming the apartment of the previously abandoned building opposite AJ's Deli and the man who is first met when he wasn't allowed to speak due to Laryngitis, so there is plenty of eye contact!

On the surface both men are perfect, but neither are just that straightforward, but I won't tell you anything more than that.

Food lovers will rejoice with great descriptions of assorted Italian deli food and pastries, and then if that's not enough to tease your tastebuds, then we discover what the new business across the road is becoming.

As is often the case the star of this book though was Gypsy, that is one cat with great taste in humans, is playful and sensitive and in some cases a chaperone too. Gypsy is the main reason that AJ is looking for a man with "cat values " but I'll let her explain it in the book.

This is one claw-some, meow-nificent book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I just hope I don't have to wait as long to read Rory's story.

Thank you so much to Nic Tatano for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
