Murder most foul...

With two barbaric murders to solve, DI Lorne Simpkins needs her team behind her more than ever, however, a member of her team is doing their very best to let her down.

The case is a perplexing one from the outset and when the murderer shows their hand, Lorne is left shaking her head at their motivation.

I have never been able to resist reading any of the books in the Justice series so was incredibly happy to see Vile Justice announced.

And what an apt title, that justice really is a vile heinous crime, that thankfully unlike in the full length books, seemed relatively simple to solve.

What I always love about these Justice novellas is that they take us back to a time were Pete is alive, and it was good to see one of the earliest instances of Lorne discovering what a great team member AJ is.

Long term fans of the series will definitely love being back in these characters lives and I feel it could work a standalone too, and be a good introduction to the authors fabulous writing skills.

i read it in very little time at all and when I wasn't reading, it was playing on my mind that I wanted to get back to the book and fast.  The percentage meter kept going up so quickly I was impressed at just how comprehensive a story this felt despite being small in size.

I am just so happy that although this series has ended that the author can't resist giving us these extra novellas and allowing re connection with much loved characters.

Thank you so much to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
