Come and spend a picture perfect romantic Christmas at White Cliff Bay
Libby Joseph is famous for her romantic Christmas stories. Every December, readers devour her books of falling in love against the magical backdrop of the Christmas season. If only Libby believed in the magic herself…
Struggling to finish her current novel, Libby turns to her best friend and neighbour George Donaldson to cheer her up. But George also needs a bit of support himself. Nervous about getting back into the dating saddle after splitting from his wife, he and Libby strike a deal. She will teach George how to win over the ladies, and Libby will in turn be inspired to inject her novel with a good dose of romance.
As Libby and George explore the beautiful White Cliff Bay on a series of romantic Christmas-themed dates, Libby finds herself having more fun than she’s had in ages and…discovers feelings that she never knew she had for George.
But is it too late? Will George win someone else’s heart or can Libby act like the heroine in one of her stories and reach for her own love under the mistletoe this Christmas?
Snuggle up with a piece of Christmas cake and mulled wine, and spend the festive season at White Cliff Bay. You won’t want to leave! Christmas at Lilac Cottage also out now.

White Cliff Bay is just the perfect place to spend Christmas this year. I loved Christmas at Lilac Cottage, the first book set here, and equally loved Snowflakes on Silver Cove.
Although this is the second book set at White Cliff Bay, let me assure you first of all this can be read as a standalone book. There are a few references to events in the first book, but unless you have already read it, you probably won't even pick up on them. There is that little overlap, apart from the gorgeous location, and the cameo Henry and Penny make in this book.
Snowflakes on Silver Cove, features four main characters, with Libby and George's story being the main one, but Seb and Amy also get a fair amount of space. We get to see things from all 4 of their points of view, as well as some other related characters.
Libby is an author for romance books, who is struggling on her latest Christmas novel. She doesn't really have much experience in her own life of romance, so the inspiration just isn't there. Her best friend since moving to Silver Cove is George, who lives next door. He has barely dated since his wife left him, and wants Libby to help him practice dating, so that he can invite out his dream woman.
Seb is the local barman, and has been widowed for coming up to 5 years. He has barely looked at another woman since, until Amy starts working for him. It is clear there are feelings on both sides, but will his mother in law, give him her blessing to move on.
I loved every single one of George's dates with Libby, each with a huge amount of romance, and reminded me in their gestures of One Hundred Proposals. It is the same level of thought and love put into these dates, that I have come to expect from Holly Martin.
I haven't really touched too much on Amy and Sebs story, but its a lovely blossoming relationship, once they get over certain hurdles. I don't feel its as strong as Libby and George's but they intersect really well. And of course Amy is Libby's good friend too.
Every single element of George and Libby's confidence boosting "relationship" was fabulous to see, and as Libby has more of these fake dates, she is able to feel more confidence in finishing off the book she was stuck writing.
Snowflakes on Silver Cove is a wonderful Christmassy book, which will warm your heart and is a delight to read. I loved George's 12 gifts of Christmas to Libby, and the two big practical jokes in the book, one will have you in hysterics and the other will definitely have your adrenalin pumping.
Snowflakes on Silver Cove is another fantastic story from Holly Martin, and she seems to be making a habit of releasing great books, and this is definitely another must read from her.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookoutre for this review. This is my honest opinion.
And please come back tomorrow afternoon (4.45pm) as I have a special treat for all Holly Martin fans. I have a cover reveal of her next book in The Sentinel series.
